First of all one must remember that fat loss comes down to basically three things: your workout program, what cardio session you incorporate before or after your workout and the foods that you put into your body 90% of the time. Let’s break these up even further.
When thinking out of working out most people have nightmares when they see themselves pushing heavy weights around a gym, screaming and shouting at the top of their voices trying to move the last few pounds. However, it does not have to be like that. Even though a workout program is a must, it definitely does not have to contain any of the above. Usually, a program which makes use of free weights and incorporates the basic and most compound exercises that can be found is enough to induce enough stress onto the body and force it to change.
Next there is cardio. Here is where, in my opinion, most people go wrong. It is useless doing two straight hours of cardio if you are not challenging yourself to get out of your comfort zone. It is useless being able to read a magazine whilst you are on the treadmill or on the elliptical training machine. The cardio that you do must hold some form of challenge for you or else it will be of little to no use. Here, it is also important to mention that repetitive strains can be caused to your body if you repeat the same movement over and over again, and therefore, this is something that everyone should give some thought to when it comes to a long time on the cardio machines.
Finally, there is nutrition. This is the most important aspect of all. There is the saying that “you can’t out train a bad diet” and it is true in more than one sense. It is useless spending half a day at the gym and then eating out like there is no tomorrow. Your eating habits must reflect what you are doing in the gym. It is important to remember that it is all about calories in versus calories out. Therefore the next time you are tempted to eat like you have been starving for a week, think of all the effort that you put in the gym. This can be ruined by simply making the wrong decisions when it comes to your eating habits.
